Moropus - Forgotten Bloodlines ( 3D Paleoart )

Moropus elatus 3D reconstruction. Moropus was among the largest chalicotheres in the Miocene. Unlike traditional chalicotheres, Moropus and kin walked more like standard ungulates, but with huge claws used for foraging and defense.

"Forgotten Bloodlines : Agate" is a realistic CG documentary film focusing on prehistoric creatures of the of the Agate Fossil Beds in the Miocene, coming in 2022. The stars of the documentary are Daeodon and Moropus. Over the course of the story, we see them grow and struggle over multiple years in a changing environment, in a time when the forests of the Oligocene are shifting to extensive prairies in North America. The film is roughly 40 minutes long and will be animated almost entirely in Blender, with some real footage used throughout to enhance the realism.
